1.    Please complete registration form(s) neatly in printing, as it is easier to read.  This includes the BV Otters Registration Form and the Personal Information Consent Form.  Complete one form for each child.  All sections must be completed.

7.    There are three (3) options only for paying fees:

·         One annual cheque (Dated September 19, 2016).

·         OR two (2) semi-annual cheques (dated September 19, 2016 and February 1, 2017).

·         OR eight (8) cheques:  First payment dated September 19, 2016, (Swim BC + one (1) months fees) + seven (7) cheques starting November 1, 2016 – see fee schedule.

·         Please note that there will be a $20.00 NSF charge for all returned cheques.

 

8.    There are two (2) options for fundraising:

·         Write a post-dated cheque dated May 31, 2017 – see fee schedule for amount – if you complete your fundraising requirements, your cheque will not be cashed

·         OR write one (1) cheque in lieu of fundraising dated September 19, 2016 – no fundraising required!

·         Fundraising cap for family is $900.00

·         If you exceeded your fundraising obligation last year, you are able to use this credit towards registration or Fundraising amounts for this swim year.  This does not apply to the family fundraising cap of $900.00.

 9.    How do you earn fundraising money?  Joining the executive as Fundraising Coordinator and coming up with more ideas is always welcome. This year we have had the Rotary, Fall Fair that was held at the end of August.  We encourage more Ideas from our members to become a fundraiser coordinator this year. 

 

10.  Each family is required to do 10 hours of volunteering.  If your 10 hours are completed your $200.00 volunteer cheque will not be cashed.  You can complete these hours by joining the Board of Directors, organizing a fundraiser, website co-ordinator, travel coordinator, fundraiser coordinator.  Any ideas welcome, please contact a board member.

11.  One member per family of a swimmer must attend an Officials Clinic (some examples are:  timing, stroke & turn, computer session, meet manager). This is very important this year because if we don’t have officials we cannot host our local Swim Meet. ( Notifications will be emailed out)

12.  Swim season begins the week of September 19, 2016 for all groups.  Returning swimmers will not be allowed to swim until all fees have been collected and online registration is complete.  This is for insurance purposes.  Only new swimmers have a one Month FREE trial period to decide if they would like to swim.  If new swimmers choose not to continue after the trial period, no payment is required.  There will be no swimming on the Friday’s and Saturday’s of swim meet weekends, attached is our swim meet weekends Please keep it for a reminder and mark it on your calendar.

13.  Swim season ends Friday, June 16, 2017 for all groups.  Swimmers attending Provincial and/or National competitions in July will continue to swim, at the cost of the swimmer, until the end of June or into July and training times will be discussed prior to the end of the season.  Swimmers are required to be on deck 15 minutes before scheduled swim times to warm up and stretch.  Swimmers wishing to swim outside BV Otters swim times are expected to pay public swim fees.

 14.  FEE REFUNDS are available to swimmers who leave the club or for those swimmers who are absent due to illness or injury.  Parents must give 30 DAYS’ WRITTEN NOTICE to the Registrar or board of directors.
